Still needs a little time...

Okay, the time has come – I am working on the relaunch of our website J
At the moment, you will only see a construction page when you try to reach it.
I will drop you a line as soon as we are online again – the address will not change, it will only look all different in the end….
It may take a while until I am finished – after all, the site has about 100 pages in each German and English, and since the new Joomla version is not compatible to the old one, I have to do this all by hand, one by one.
Please stay with us… :)

this was written during the Vietnam War -- and is still as poignant and up to date as it was then...

I have been made aware of the fact that one of John’s guitars has been put up for sale – check it out here:
Yes, it is quite pricy, but hey, it is a SPECIAL instrument, and we thought maybe there is somebody who may be interested.
Shipping outside of the USA or pickup can be arranged, as I was assured by the sellers.

I just received this note from Chris Nole – thought you may be interested, too, so I am forwarding it  to you! :)

Hey Inge

I hope your summer is going great so far.
I wanna give you a heads up on my upcoming August 2nd release.
I've been working on this project now for quite a long time and it's finally about to come out!
IT BE WHAT IT BE is a rousing celebration of vintage blues, rock & roll, and New Orleans-style piano and song. These tracks were inspired by such keyboard greats as Professor Longhair, Randy Newman, Ray Charles, Dr. John, Pinetop Perkins, Johnnie Johnson, and others.
Here is a little advance preview video I put together: Video
And here's a page where you can hear some of the tracks and order the CD in advance
(free shipping within USA for advance orders until AUG 2): Orders
Thanks so much - please shoot me a note when you get a chance and let me know
what you think about the new music.
All the best,
Chris Nole

J.D.P.B. EARTH DAY EVERYDAY - Tribute to John Denver

After the participation at the Denverdag in the 2013 and 2015 the 27th of August the J.D.P.B. will return to the Netherlands at the 't Trefpunt cultural center in Voorthuizen for a concert to celebrate the music of John Denver and through his songs the planet Earth

EARTH DAY EVERYDAY: Every year on the 22nd of April the world celebrate the planet Earth, but why only the 22nd of april? Lets celebrate Earth Day Everyday!.
And with the music of John Denver everyday is a special Earth Day, John has always been involved in protecting the environment, and what Mother nature offer to us, in particular its efforts were focused on the reduction of energy consumption, an innovation for the cultural context of the time.

A true country boy, his songs speak of respect, of living in harmony with nature in a “sweet surrender”.

Songs like "Boy From The Country", "Calypso", "Amazon" tell stories about living in harmony and respect our planet ... our home, the earth with mountains and plains, air and water.

But there won’t be only the JDPB concert, all day will be a big tribute to John’s music with other artists, videos and sing a long from the early afternoon.

The event will be open to everyone, and the concert entrance cost will be 12,5 €.

LOCATION: 't Trefpunt cultural center in Voorthuizen – Netherlands (just 1 hour from Amsterdam)

"I would like to announce that the Pete Huttlinger Celebration of Life will take place in Nashville on February 26 at the City Winery. 18/01/2016 Today I am passing on a message John St. Augustine posted on our facebook group -

"The human voice is the organ of the soul..." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. That's how Chapter 1 "Your Voice Matters" begins in my book "Living An Uncommon Life" and its about my friend John Denver, who's voice for millions was exactly what Longfellow was talking about. Honored to release "John Denver The Man & His Music" the original broadcast I hosted in 2007 on the 10th anniversary of John's passing. Stories from Annie Denver, , Ronald L. Deutschendorf, John Berry, Michael Martin Murphey, "The Immortal" Roger Nichols & Conrad Reeder along with names like Milt Okun, Tom Crum and Terry Lipman among others. I am only taking orders at this point until January 30th."

If you are interested in copy of this 3 CD set, send the money and a note to him via PayPal to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. -- the set is 35 $, postage 5$ for the USA and 12$ for other countries.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce to you that John's guitar player Pete Huttlinger passed away on Friday. He was 54 years old. I know many of you knew and loved him as well.

Our thoughts are with his wonderful wife Erin and his family.

Here Erin's facebook message:

I am heartbroken. Today my beautiful husband, Pete Huttlinger passed away. I am paralyzed. On Monday Pete had a brain bleed and was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Over the course of less than 24 hours he went from talking and laughing to unresponsive. He never regained consciousness and today at 12:30pm he died. He was not only surrounded by some of his family and friends, but by so many of his doctors and nurses who have helped keep him alive over the last few years. I was so touched by the humanness and sincere pain shown by these physicians. Over the many years of Pete’s ongoing health challenges, these medical caregivers have invested so much of their brilliance and humanity into keeping Pete alive. I appreciate it more than I’ll ever be able to express to them.

I loved this man with such depth. My entire essence and energy were devoted to loving him and letting him know how much I loved him. And he made it clear every single day of our marriage that he felt the same way. I am at a deep loss as half of me has now disappeared.

My family and I were given a wonderful gift throughout this tragedy in that Pete stayed with us for nearly four days giving us time to accept what he already knew.

I know that many of you reading this loved him as well. Again, the feeling is reciprocated from both Pete and myself. I have so many more thoughts and emotions I would like to share, but I am in such a fog of emptiness that this is all I can muster.

I also know that messages have been coming in all day. I promise I will read them all. I appreciate them so.

Thank you for loving him too.

Erin Huttlinger
